NES Art Show Brings “Bloom Where You Are Planted” Theme to Life

Narragansett Elementary School was transformed into a vibrant gallery on Thursday, May 1 as families, staff, and community members gathered for the annual NES Art Show. Centered around the theme “Bloom Where You Are Planted,” the event highlighted student creativity and expression through a wide variety of mediums and styles.

One of the evening’s standout features was a Monet-inspired  installation, where guests could step into a reimagined garden scene and explore the beauty of impressionist influence through student-created works. Throughout the school, original pieces showcased how students interpreted the theme in their own unique ways.

The celebration also included a hand-painted ukulele raffle and Buttercup the Flower Truck on-site, with all proceeds supporting the NES Art Program.

A special thank you to our art teacher Jessica DeRemer, and all our staff and student artists for bringing this event to life. A selection of student-created murals will soon be on display at the Narragansett School System Central Office to continue celebrating the power of student art.
