A Letter from the Principal- April 15, 2020

Dear NES Families,

I hope this email finds everyone doing well and using this time to continue to settle in with distance learning.

Once again, thank you for your continuous support. From the beginning of my time at NES, I have said we are partners in educating your child, never did I think we would be working this closely together and apart at the same time!

While I recognize this is not the optimal way to teach children, I want you to know how important it is for your children to continue going to their virtual school, meeting with their teachers and completing the tasks the teachers have prepared. It is super important for students to submit completed work so we can grade and acknowledge progress, and guide our teaching. Student work will be graded, and we will be doing report cards. Keeping to a routine is important, especially for our elementary students. The children have been doing phenomenally!  The teachers and I can not thank you enough for valuing your child’s education.

As this journey continues, we will be making the process better and smoother as we learn how to meet the needs of the children from a distance. Please continue to reply to surveys as your feedback is important. We are in this together. Let the teachers know what challenges you are facing, we do have support to assist you with your child’s learning experience.

I hope you had a chance to view the video we put together for the kids- we really do miss them!

It is here for you to view if you missed it.  Thank you Brien Jennings for putting this together. Click on the link- please show your kids.

Hello NES

Most Sincerely,

Lisa
